THE SEA !!!!

We have finally made it to the East Coast and the sea!

We drove straight down the esplanade parked up and went to find the sea. It was beautiful and very inviting but stepping in the water could be fatal. It is Marine Stinger season - jellyfish to you and me!
The coastline here is gorgeous but it is home to more than 8 different jellyfish including box jellyfish. They have vinegar in "break glass in emergency" boxes that you can treat the stings with the vinegar. We walked along the front taking in the view, every few steps there is a area set aside with gym equipment facing the sea, although we were tempted we didn't start doing sit ups in the middle of the esplanade!

We found an Internet Cafe with fast internet and so we are able to update Ball of Dirt! Townsville is built on the Ross River and so tonight we are staying at a campsite right on the river. Sounds nice so we are just hoping there won't be too many Mosquitos as this is where Ross River Fever comes from.
