Clothes clothes clothes and shoes thats it !!!

Text written in: English

On the 27th we flew to Hoi An - another tiny plane, after one night in a 10$ room (not much cop) we moved to a smaller hotel for 5$ Bargin!!! This town has loads of history as it was pretty much untouched by the USA War it also has Tailors every shop interspersed with internet cafes and restaurants. We looked in all the shops trying to find the best deal - in the end we went to the market and ended up ordering $400 worth of clothes!!!! Ok Ok I know that's alot but that includes 4 suits, a coat, a dress and lots more so it is a bargin really and we could have spent loads more. Ok so when we went to try it all on and get the finishing touches done we did order a few more things so we are leaving soon so we can't spend any more

To make us feel better about supporting the local bussinesses so well we visited the local orhanage. For anyone who remembers Blue Peter's Romania Appeal with the kids 3 to a bed in a dark room rocking back and forth - this sums it up. We walked in and I could have cryed, it was barbaric. The abled bodied kids rooms were bad enough and these had just been done up apparently, but the room with the 28 disabled kids in was so bad you would not believe it. They were living in absolute squalor with no quality of life and most didn't even understand if you cuddled them and just cried. We stayed there for an afternoon and even helped to feed them (not that I would have feed that to a dog under normal circumstances). We left feeling so lucky but angry that this sort of place still exists and there is not enough education or understanding in this culture to mean that the little funding they get will make any difference - A real eye opener!

Thanks for all your birthday wishes, we didn't do much as there is not much here, we picked up some of our clothes and I phoned my mum (highlight!!). Ricky was a star and after being told I didn't wanna celebrate he just treated the day like normal except we splashed out on a nice restaurant with fresh seafood by the river.
Tomorrow we fly to Hanoi the capital and will try and spend as little as possible as a package home just cost 37 quid (all our clothes). We are gonna go to Hong Kong after Hanoi and should be there for Tet (chinese New Year) which will be cool. So Bye for now we are gonna go and get some dinner
