Inchanga Ranch Shopping with Sotz Rick & his birds

Text written in: English

It was quite a long journey to Johannesburg and as usual we were the last to be dropped off. We chose our hostel because it is the one our Safari meet at and it is much more plush than our usual hostel with a HUGE double room ensuite and massive bed complete with Tv and veranda. The on site restaurant was run by a lovely Greek couple George & Sotz who really couldn't have been more helpful.

In the morning Sotz took us in her car for a little tour of the craft shops as by now we had a long list of things we had seen but had been told Jo'berg was the cheapest. She was very patient even though we couldn't find what we wanted. Then she to us to the Monte Casino a huge complex built to look like an Italian village, it was fab and we spent loads of time wandering round the shops and watching people gamble obsence amounts of money.

Across the road was a Bird garden and we went to investigate. There was an avairy you could walk through and feed the birds, Ricky got birds flocking round him so there nothing new there!!!
We also saw a bird show with loads of native South African birds it was cool. When we arrived back at the ranch (literally) Sotz was so worried about us cos we hadn't phoned her for a lift home!!!
