Back from Sabie very tired but it was nice to just walk back in to the hostel, get our same room back and pretend that this was home!
It was weird how chilled out the hostel is but very welcome, Bruno the manager didn't even seem to notice that we had left and miraculously our food was still in the fridge!!
We went for a wander to the internet cafe to find out about this Tsunami everyone was talking about, and oh my god what a disaster, we just can't beleive that we were so cut off that we knew nothing of the extent of the devastation. We heard a tiny bit on the radio about a possible tidal wave heading for the East African Coast and were just glad we had headed inland, but the radio didn't give the true story by any means.
Well we had a million concerned emails from people not sure where we were and rightly so as we had been without technology for so long, but it was nice to feel loved and scary to think of what had happened.
As we left the internet cafe we spotted a Chinese that made me crave chinese. Later that evening we went to check out the menu but decided that as Ricky had been craving Fish n Chips since our Cape Town we should get them and they were divine - ok so not up to british standards but a pretty fair effort and it made us smile. Oh for the simple pleasures that so many never experience we feel very lucky!
