We left the farm and headed for Taupo where we had booked in for a skydive, the weather was not on ourside again so we gave up and booked our selves onto a kayaking lesson on the Katuina, near Rotorua, a grade 3 river with grade 4/5 rapids, also containing the worlds highest commecially rafted waterfall. We had a couple of trips down before we got to cold and tired to keep paddling.
We headed off for Whanagrie, but it was a lot further than we thought. We found somewhere to stay in Hamilton and watched the lions play Auckland, what a shocking result we only one by 4 points 17-13.
We left Hamilton and headed for a place just south of Kaitaia. We stayed on a backpackers which the owners had built them selves and looked like a house that swiss family robison would have built. We left the next morning and headed north to Cape Reinga.
