The ride is ovah!

I am now in Melbourne after a few days hiking in the Grampians and driving the Great Ocean road, both of which were spectacular. Hopefully you'll get some idea from the pictures below rather than having me inadequately describe what I saw. Though I will say that I managed to get lost on a 20km day hike in the mountains, An hour of scrambling over rocks and crashing through thick brush I managed to find the trail again and was pretty damn proud of myself and my back country skills until I remembered that the path that I got lost on is easily accessible to school children and the elderly! Ahh well I suppose one needs a lesson in humility now and then!
I have to be honest, Melbourne is pretty neat but I am a bit freaked out by being in a big city again, its almost like culture shock or something, I would love to get back into the bush again.
After a few nights in a hostel I met up with my friend Stace (that I had met in Africa) and am taking a welcome break enjoying some home comforts while I begin my new career as a used car salesman trying to sell the beige beast.
Provided that I can sell the machine I plan to head to Tasmania for some hiking for a while and get out of the city. If not then I will see what Melbourne has to offer and maybe even take in a game of Aussie rules football.
Another thing I was not expecting is the cold it was 16 degrees today and I thought it was freezing! All the warm weather I've been spoiled with has apparently made me soft. Anyway only a week or so left until I leave for the next step - 10 weeks in New Zealand, I'm pretty excited I must say.
