Just a quick entry to say that I am now down under. I arrived on the 19th and am staying in the Glebe area with my freind Sarah McIlveen (for all you Xerox people) and her boyfriend in their apartment that conveniently has a wicked view of the city. I have already been out to the pub for a Super 12 game during which and after which I got royally pissed. My drinking days are over I think if I want to have any hope of having any money left by the end of my trip. Gone are the $1 beers or Africa!
Did a bit of sightseeing on Sunday including Bondi Beach and a trip to the South Heads (?) to see the ocean and the old shore defenses (got the obligatory pic of me riding a canon - had to be done, I'd have been stupid not to if you think about it).
Monday I took a trip to the famous Sydney Aquarium (I'm waiting for good weather before I do a cruise of the harbor) and while good if its truly is "Australia's number 1 attraction" I will be pissed.
Other than that I spent this morning getting over my jetlag and now I'm in the process of trying to find a car to travle in as I don;t fancy taking the greyhound or the Oz Experience.
