A date with Tanja at the winelands!

Was picked up at 10.30am for a 30 minute drive to Spier Wine Farm in a shuttle bus. Had a friendly driver called Ahmed who gave us lots of information about the Townships which we saw on our journey there. Hard to believe that people are living in these conditions only minutes outside of the City.

Spier is set in a beautiful location - in the middle of no where surrounded by mountains, fields and peace and quiet.

Had great fun meeting up with Tanja and her family who were all on top form. We enjoyed a few bottles of wine and a chat with her husband Alan who is back at home in England!

Bit of a shocker at the end of the day!.............After another informative drive back with Ahmed in the shuttle bus we were disappointed to discover that what we thought was a return fare turned out to be one way!

An expensive day out but worth it!!
