We flew into Siem Reap in the north of Cambodia.
The town has changed dramatically since the last time I came here in 1992.
We have never seen so many very large fancy hotels anywhere, and can't believe they are asking upwards of US$200 a night.
The centre of town now has tons of very nice eating/drinking places with prices to match.
The temples of Angkor Wat are still worth coming to see and the cambodians are certainly making a packet of money from them.
Good luck to them!
Did we do the three day tour of all the temples?
Naaaaah!
4 hours in a tuk-tuk then back to the air-conditioned room and a bed picnic.
Hey! it's too hot.
