Tutus and kayaks

Text written in: English

This week I finally went to see something in the Opera House - another of those must do things when in Sydney.
Myself, Alena (my housemate), Lisa and Nicola (2 girls from my first job) went to see the ballet La Sylphide and it was brilliant. Obviously the venue was excellent but the production was too. It was great to be sipping champagne in the interval, overlooking Sydney harbour! I could have got some really good photos of the Opera House and the Bridge at night but my camera isn't quite strong enough for that!
At the weekend I ended up going kayaking in Manly, which was a great idea. We hired 3 double kayaks from a company in Manly and paddled out to a little beach which can't be reached by car. It wasn't quite a private beach but there weren't very many people on it. We ended up just sitting on the beach and swimming in the sea for an hour, before paddling back to shore. It was a fab way to spend the day, and reminded me just how much I love kayaking.
