Coorg - Abbey Falls and Raja's Seat

Text written in: English

To visit Coorg was a longtime desire, and the plans were made almost a month in advance. We got train tickets to Mysore and arranged for a taxi to take us to Coorg. We also booked accommodation at Hotel Coorg International.

26 July 2002

We reached Mysore in the morning by train, and were picked up by the taxi we had arranged. The drive to Coorg from Mysore was one of the most beautiful ones we've been on. The countryside was beautiful and the weather was very pleasant.

We checked into Coorg International and in the afternoon, went to Abbey Falls, a local attraction as well as a tourist haunt. Thankfully, it was not too crowded and we could spend some time there. After that, we visited Raja's Seat, a viewpoint in a park from where the King would look out over his domain.
