6 hours in a leaky bus

Finally a bus arrived to pick us up from Ajmer and it was the super deluxe 2&1 seat variety with sleeper berths as promised, but this didn't stop the driver detouring to every little village off the highway and cramming as many locals as possible into the isle, the sleeper berths and on the roof for 10 rupee each. When we finally arrived in Jodphur, sweaty and exhausted, at least 80 people untangled themselves from the bus before the seated travellers could disembark!

We left our luggage at a flash hotel by the train station on promise that we would eat their overpriced and strangely flavourless restaurant food, bought our onward train tickets to Jaisalmer and killed 6 hours exploring the old city and markets.
