More Castles than you can point a stick at

Text written in: English

Slightly to the left of Lisbon is Sintra. It is a world heritage site and therefore is being ruined by ga-zillions of tourists.

I took the underground (very exciting) then the train.. had a bit of a sleep and got off at the end of the line. All up cost about 5Euro to get there. I purchased a bus pass for another EU 3.50 which got me my transport for the day. They have a bus route that you can get on and off at your leisure.

I was actually felling a bit tired after all the walking yesterday so decided to go and see the old ruined castle up on the hill.. then have some eats.. then home... this ended up taking about six hours.

Sintra is a pretty bloody amazing place... lots of forest, gardens, palaces and a castle... go see it 10/10...
