Last chance for a kiwi tour

Text written in: English

We really wanted to see kiwis in the wild, and were even willing to shell out $90 each to go on a kiwi-spotting tour. But alas, it was fated not to be. Gale-force winds kept the tour from going out both times. Dang.
So we spent the evening at the pub with the Kiwis we met on the track and a German girl we met at the hostel.

This is Ants (yes, Ants), one of the Kiwis with whom we spent some of the evening drowning our no-kiwi sorrows. The sunsets down here occur late -- not 'till 10:30 or 11:00 -- and are nothing short of spectacular. Probably the least flattering photo Andy has ever had taken of him in his life.
