Thwarted by the weather

We were really excited to go on a trip out to White Island (Whakaari in Maori), 50 km off the coast from Whakatane -- it's New Zealand's most active volcano. But the weather was crap and no one would take us out. We haven't got the time or money to stick around, so we're going to try to come back on our way back up to Auckland.
