Starting the Southern Scenic Route

Text written in: English

We left Dunedin against the advice of an AA mechanic (our rear engine mount is broken, but we didn't want to wait around four days to get it fixed) and started out on the Southern Scenic Route. We visited Nugget Point, an amazing walk up to a lighthouse from which you could look down on dozens of seals just swimming around, playing on land, and relaxing in the sun. Our next stop was Jack's blowhole, a 55m deep hole connected to the sea by a 200m subterranean passage.

The bay next to Nugget Point. The "nuggets" of Nugget Point. Why is it that you never see people out for a friendly cricket game on the beach on a rainy day in Canada? Jack's Blowhole.
