Christmas carnival

We had an empty day before our reservation in Dunedin, so we stopped halfway in Timaru. Their annual Christmas carnival was on, so we went down to the park and played a few games (Matt won some disgusting banana-flavoured candy), went through a funhouse maze, and went on a couple of rides until Cat felt sick. The carnival was pretty small, but we had a good time.

The hostel had two cats. This one was the friendliest. Matt took advantage of the free pool table to teach himself how to do a jump shot. He's looking forward to showing up Kevin at the QP next year. Sculpture in the hostel. The carnival certainly looked like a ripping good time! This is what Matt would like like if he were an obese midget. Cat with a giant nose. The Octopus. We really shouldn't have eaten ice cream right before going on this ride. Cat after riding the Octopus. Perhaps having ice cream immediately beforehand was unwise.
