The resort Matt and Cat were staying in ran a "Three-Lake Tour" that sounded interesting and was reasonably priced, so all three of us signed up. Our guide's name was Heidi, which was in itself awesome. Equally awesome was the boat ride across Grundlsee, the hike from the little village of Goessl to the shores of Toplitzsee and the cruise across it (past two waterfalls) on a flat-bottom wooden skiff called a "Plette", and the visit to Kammersee. Toplitzsee has two bottoms, and the top of the lake is fresh and drinkable, but weirdly, at 25 metres and below the lake is salty. The Nazis used it to dump forged English currency, and there are rumours about treasures stashed at its bottom. Divers so far have only found more and more fake pounds, though.
Kammersee is hemmed in on all sides by gigantic mountain crags, which gives it the impression of being in a little room (Kammersee actually means "Little Room Lake").
