From the rebellion to the battlefield

Once everything had calmed down in Andahuaylas I moved on in search of more action! Continued my way through the Andes, towards Lima and ended up in Ayacucho where I stayed for a few days.
I spent one day visiting the Wari ruins and then the battlefield at Quinua. All the houses in Quinua have got small ceramis churches on their roofs but I resisted the temptation to buy one for myself!
Made friends with some Peruvian women while I ate their chicken and rice - they were astounded to hear that I was travelling alone and that I had no boyfriend or siblings. And then they found out I had no pets either...! I think they thought I must be the loneliest girl in the world!
