Raffles

Text written in: English

We explored singapore by day and then in the evening joined a Night Adventure tour. It started with a boat trip up the singapore river past all the lit up skyscrapers and out to a restaurant for a sumptuous singapore buffet(not quite as fancy as the one at the Island country club)We were then taken to a night market(exotic sights and smells)and told we were not to bring Durian fruit back onto the bus because although it tastes like heaven-it smells like hell-and that's the polite description of the smell. We were then taken to Raffles hotel and joined the rich and famous-and a couple of hundred other tourists in the famous long bar for a singapore sling and peanuts in their shells. This is the only place in Singapore where you are allowed to throw things on the floor-Peanut shells only though no paper or plastic! We were impressed and were then returned to our hotel in time for bed.
