I spent a week in Vang Vieng waiting around for my Vietnam visa.$50 and the freedom of the country is mine.I heard that Laos is the most bombed country in history and it looks like a kinghell tonnage landed here.Sweet Jeezus what a dump.But the friendlies are nice and quick to say Sabaaii Dii! and the pancakes are scrummy.I knocked around with Owain,Kazz and Charlie.We all got laid low by food poisoning.The 1000lb shithammer indeed.Doxycyline sent me completely round the bend.You ever hear me say 'scrummy' before?Dear God.
Witnessed the local Mafia pulling handguns on retarded Canadians and a Lao crawl on all fours naked through town.And i didnt even get into the mushrooms...
Crossing the river into the jungle for night incursions with the Welshman.Heading for Vientiane then onward and upward.Hanoi!
