Biloela. In QLD. Average small town, nice enough in it's own right.
Odd thing for me was I flew to the closest airport, which was an hour away, then got picked up by the QLD guy, Tony. So basically because I wasn't in charge of the transport I had no idea where I was!
Pretty uneventful week. If you get the chance, stay at the Raintrees hotel. Basic accom but a great owner and some great food in the pub. The only thing you'll have to put up with is the miners who stay. They come and go at all hours, but the weirdest sight is some of them coming home at breakfast time, ordering sausage, eggs and rum! To them, of course, it's dinner, so it's ok, but rum at breakfast threw me a bit...
Also got my first ever air-sickness on the way home. Landing in Brisbane in a small Dash 8 when it's very windy and I'm tired was a bit of a queasy experience. Normally that sort of stuff doesn't bother me, but this time? Ugh.
Home for a week before leaving again... but it IS slowing down. Only four more outings this year, I reckon.
