Food markets - Borough Market @ London Bridge

Text written in: English

The Borough Market is at 8 Southwark Street, pretty much right next to London Bridge tube station and is open Fridays and Saturdays.

There is a lot of organic and healthy food, and you can wander around tasting all sorts of delights, so it's best to go without having had any breakfast...

They also have cakes and chocolates, pasta, seaweed concoctions, continental cheeses, fresh juices, spanish tapas, sardinian carpaccio, potato bread, rock oysters, more cheese tasting - a good day despite the gross rabbits and other poor victims hanging in what appeared to be a Hannibal lector meat-lovers museum section of the market.

This would be a great place to come back to in spring or summer, and you could really spend all day just eating and exploring... The sheer variety is makes it a fun park for the taste buds, and a lot more interesting than the other markets in London which are just crammed full of boring antiques and second hand junk.
