We arrived by plane from Bogota to Leticia, the capital of the Amazon province in Colombia. Here Colombia has a border with Brazil and Peru. It's a three way border over the Amazon. So in one day we "traveled" in all three countries. In the morning we were in Leticia, Colombia and after breakfast we crossed over to Santa Rosa, Peru in order to arrange our trip up the Amazon in a slow boat. At night we had dinner at a restaurant in Tabatinga, Brazil and then we came back to Leticia for our last night in Colombia.
In order to go to Santa Rosa we had to hire a small boat and cross the Amazon. But go to Tabatinga you can simply walk. It's just like goging to a different neighbourhood of the same town. There is no border check or anything like that.
Am ajuns cu avionul din Bogota pina in Leticia, capitala provinciei amazoniene a Columbiei. Aici Columbia are o granita dubla cu Brazilia si Peru. Asa ca intr-o zi am "calatorit" in toate cele trei tari. Dimineata eram in Leticia, in Columbia, iar dupa micul dejun am trecut in Santa Rosa, in Peru, ca sa aranjam calatoria noastra pe Amazon intr-un vaporas. Seara am luat cina in Tabatinga, in Brazilia.
Ca sa ajungem in Santa Rosa a trebuit sa traversam Amazonul intr-o barcuta. Dar ca sa mergem in Tabatinga se poate merge pe jos ca si cum te-ai duce dintr-un cartier in altul al aceluias oras. Nu exista nici un fel de control la frontiera.
