We paid $5 each for a three hour bus journey - Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai - and travelled VIP class. You get fully reclining seats, waitress service, food and drink included in price!!
Chiang Rai is really just a stepping stone to get us closer to the border crossing into Laos which we hope to do in the next 2/3 days.
