Howto open your Tivo

The first thing you need is a Torx - 10 screwdriver.

The next thing that you need is the ability to ignore the fact that you void your warranty if you do this. My warranty has expired already so it is not a biggie for me. But DO NOT OPEN YOUR TIVO as it will void your warranty. Blah.

Take out the three screws at the back of the machine. Next run a flat head screwdriver along the inside of the case (on both sides) I found that it had been glued slightly.. this is what made it tricky.

Next pry open the case from the back by putting a flat-head screwdriver between the tags at the back and turning it slightly. Do this to both ends equally. Then you should be able to pull the case out.. easy peasy.
