Truth Or Dare

Text written in: English

Nairobi is the capital and largest city of Kenya. The city and its surrounding area also forms the Nairobi Province. The name "Nairobi" comes from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nyirobi, which translates to "the place of cool waters". However, it is popularly known as the "Green City in the Sun.

After an even bumpier journey out of the Masai Mara we are happy to be on tramac again.  Our drive over the Rift Valley escarpment and through some of the most stunning scenery on planet earth was rather eventful; as we chugged behind vehicles crawling up the steep road we passed an oil tanker that had fallen over the steep edge, further up a blazing truck carrying paint had done the same and a little further another tanker was almost hanging over the edge.

Arriving in Nairobi late in the evening, we spent the next few days relaxing and just taking it easy. It was also time to say goodbye to some of our travel buddies, with a night of drinking games.... rather like truth or dare..... and the rest is history! Well, we did get a little out of control; messing up the chalkboard menu by changing the letter 'c' in mince to a 'g' to read 'savoury minge & noodles'!!

Next stop Arusha, via Kenya/Tanzania border.
