We've spent a lovely couple of days with a few of the guys from
work. Firstly on Friday night we saw a production of The Magic
Flute at Bearwood College. The opera itself was great, fantastic
singers and the orchestra was great too! The college has the most
amazing buildings, it kind of looks like a stately home..
Anyway we stayed at Craig and Lucinda's place and didn't get to bed
until about half three, so that was good fun. On Saturday it was
another beautiful warm sunny day, so we had a lovely breakfast out in
the garden, then headed to Dinton Pastures, a huge gravel extraction
area that they have transformed into beautiful lakes and
parkland. We stopped for lunch at the Old Leathern Bottel back at
Barkham (a lovely old pub) and basically sat around in Craig and
Lucinda's back garden in the sun for the rest of the lovely afternoon.
And after all that walking around in the sun, we managed not to
get sunburnt at all!
