Winter time, party season

Well it's really winter now but  not too cold yet, the days are still near 10 dgrees and I don't think we've been below zero for a week or so.  But that doesn't stop the christmas!  It's everywhere, and it just doesn't feel quite right in the cold and miserable!

I've had an incredibly busy week this week, after orchestra concerts last weekend (Italian Girl in Algiers, American in Paris, Vaughan-Williams London Symphony), then every night this week guides, orchestra, dinner with Sue who is about to have a baby, work christmas party on thursday night, and last night, Panto! 

The christmas party was great fun, and in Windsor for a change at the Castle Hotel (very posh).  After getting excited about being able to stumble home, Lizzie and I realised it really is a long way from the castle in heels.  So we managed to scum a lift there :)  Anyway it was great fun, and we didn't get tooooo drunk.

Panto was brilliant fun, mostly because i was there with the guides who were soooo excited.  It was Beauty and the Beast, but had all the bits I'm told pantos have to have - booing the baddy, cheering the heroes, old men in drag, audience participation, etc.  In all, a great time :)

So tonight is Shane's work christmas do, and the data team do is friday night, so the party season is not over yet!  And it's only two weeks until we are off to Estonia and Russia!
