Museum/Manchester Wheel

Today I set off in the rain for a day in Manchester. I  had a rough I dea where I wanted to go but no idea how to get there. Oh well whats new. I got to Manchester and decided I was going to go to the museum. Apparently Oxford rd is really long as I soon discovered. Walking down the street my umbrella felt as though it was going to blow inside out. I finally got to the Museum. Inside there were 4 floors of galleries. There were Pre-historic animals, Ancient Egytian mummies, Mediterranean Archeology, money, Rocks and Minerals, the list goes on. There was lots to see and each display was really well set up-The Animals were in their natural habitat settings, The T-Rex hung over everones heads. It was great. From the Museum I thought about heading back home because it was cold and wet outside. I started back up the street when I found a sign that showed the Arndale shopping centre not far from the bus station so I figured why not go and see if I can find it I'm already wet whats a little more rain. Continuing up the street I came to the end and discovered the shopping centre was even closer than I though so I headed in. Wandering around the shops I saw the Manchester Wheel just out side one of the entrances.

Out I go and line up for the wheel. The man opens the door, I get in and he says 'this is for english commentry and this is for emergencys' pointing to 2 buttons and closed the door. My thoughts at this point are why am I doing this, this wasn't a good idea, but to late I'm already in. Up goes the wheel. The view was really good, however it would have been better had it been a clear day. The wheel went round 3 times before it stopped. The problem here: I was at the very top. Its ok theres a few people get out and back down it comes.

Well I guess it's time to head back to the bus, but wait how did I get to here I don't remember where I came into the shopping centre. I guess I'll just have to try and find my way out. I head down 1 floor because I remember going up. Which direction now??? Keep walking..... There's and exit and it looks familiar. Walking out I soon realise this wasn't the way I'd gone in but oh well. I eventually got back to the bus stop but still had 40 minutes to wait for the next bus. Buses are place where you meet some interesting people.
