Sweet stench in old Blighty

27 hours of flying - an airport that looked like it was in the inside of the Big Prawn (Brunei), an airport that was like landing in Pacific Fair (Dubai) and we were in England. The smart money was on grey skies and the bookies got comprehensively fleeced - Heathrow was about 10 degrees and raining slightly, swish! Security was suprisingly chilled, we got straight through customs sans fisting and out into the real world. It was about 7am so we had to walk around the entire day to get ourselves acclimatised to the time change and to wait for Tanko to finish work. We dumped our bags and started out with the walking and did that bad thing bipedally, spreading the sort of stink only two young men who've been on a plane for a day can generate.

By the time we made it to Tanko's in Luton we were absolutely shagged, stinking even more completely after having climbed St Paul's and walked the length and breadth of the city for 7 hours. Red and I got to cuddle up in Tanko's bed to rest up for the journey to Turkey the following day, which was an early highlight to the trip.
