ruines.

yesterday was the day of work here, too. so no lessons. the school only offered a tour through the artist neighbourhood. so i went there. it was quite nice. cusco is a colonial city so there were a lot of nice houses around.

 in the afternoon we decided to walk up to see some inca ruins.(saxawaman)  it was quite a steep walk. haha. and imagine it on almost 4000 meters. well, anyway. we made it. we bought our entrance ticket and walked around where the inkas walked many houndred years ago. there is only 20 % of the ruins left. and that was already quite impressive.... we also went to see christo blanco. a white statue of jesus that towers over the city. had some lunch there and continued to see 3 more ruins that are close by. of course i forgot the names of them. the first ruins were the most interesting ones. the next ones were just a bit more of the same. but the view was really amazing. man. it did remind me a bit of the swiss mountains. well, it made my heart race and it made me really happy.

and even though i put on the sun lotion with factor 70 i burned my shoulders. good thinking that i was wearing a hat.

in the evening i went out for drinks with my new friends and we found a really nice place with only peruvians. but of course we don't speak well enough yet to actually start a conversation. haha. but as soon as we do we know where to go :-)

 this afternoon we'll go and visit a market. yay. and in the evening there will be some salsa lessons from school. (julia, ich weiss, was du jetzt denkst...) and i'll try it. again. hehe... maybe after that everyone goes out together. i don't know yet.

oh. and tomorrow. i'll do some paragliding. i haven't put my name down yet and i'm not sure if the group is already full, but if not. i'm on.... :-) this is what i call life!!!
