Peunte del Inca and a sugoi mountain

Text written in: English

Super Trev´s birthday so we called York railway musuem from the bus station in Mendoza. 4 hours later we found ourselves in PdelI - not much there apart from some touristy market stalls a nice hotel and 2 ramshackle refugios. We went for the refugio which was fun - warm at least!

We went for a short walk (3 hours) up the road to see the main site - Aconcagua! It was a little strange to be walking at almost 3000m - going uphill was tough and left us feeling a little out of breath and light-headed.

The next day we undertook a bigger trek up the valley - it was much easier to walk after a night at 2900m and the views of the "big one", "el grande", "sugoi yama ne" were better and better the closer we got.

4 hours back to Mendoza in the evening - being 15km from Chile we had to go all the way back to Mendoza to get a bus across the border!
