Preparations

A few weeks back we had all the nasty environmentally friendly carpet removed from our home and had nice "high carbon footprint" carpet put down to replace it.

I now spend my evenings walking around in bare feet going "ooooh.. carpet...".  I know. I should get out more... 

Actually, I think I might be slightly allergic to the glue used as I often have trouble breathing in the bedroom. That aside, we now can throw all our stuff wildely around the room and since we now have lovely soft carpet it doesn't hurt to tippie-toe over the piles of clothes/suites/suitcases/scuba diving gear and random pieces of electronics that seem to find their way into our bed room.

To cut a long story short. We are packing.  We leave on Friday morning.  Currently its 8:39am on the Wednesday.  We both have a lot to do before we leave the country. I got up around 5:45 this morning so I could go and deliver some hardware to a friend to monitor whilst I was away.  Its amazing how fast you can dive around London at 6am.  A trip that would normally take me an hour took 18 minutes this morning.  It was quite a clear, crisp morning so I had to the top down.
