Shir and I went with 1000 other people in buses and private cars to deliver food that we had purchased to their neighbors in Gaza. The day before in Jerusalem we participated in a silent peace walk that went all around the city, ending near the garden of gesthemane. I went to a Muslim market (right after their friday prayers) and asked the man for what I should buy to bring to the Gazans - he helped me pick out milk powder, chickpeas, flour, rice, chocolate, sugar, tea, tobacco for the hookahs, some desserts, and sardines. At the border (which is closed, threatening a humanitarian crisis and forcing the Gazans to break down the wall to Egypt) we collected 4 tons of food, and the army agreed to deliver it Monday.
