CDE is part of a triangle known as the Triple frontera (Triple border). It is the third largest free-tax commerce zone in the world, after Miami and Hong Kong. I just spent a few hours there because I had to take a bus from CDE to asunción. However, it was really impressing walking down the streets which are full of markets where you can buy everyhing, the latest notebooks for less than 1,000 dollars, ipods, food, clothes, all kind of drugs... you can imagine how crazy the boarder is - you see thousands of people(most of them are Brazilians) crossing the bridge from Paraguay to Brazil with tons of bags - the police men told me that it takes them about four hours to pass the border to get back to Brazil. When I entered Paraguay from the Brazilian side it was extremely calm, I didn`t even had to wait.
