Bloggers Block!

Text written in: English

Foz do Iguaçu is a major city in the state of Paraná, Brazil. It is a gateway to both Paraguay and Argentina, and home of the famous Iguaçu Falls.

After leaving Paraguay, we soon arrived at the easiest border crossing ever into Brasil.  It was rammed with people waiting to cross into the country and we're treated like first class travelers, the border police allowing us to queue jump and bypass all the usual security and bag checks..... so we breezed into Brasil.

We camped at our site with a well equiped bar sipping caiprinha's at the poolside, late into the night. We set about the next day on a trip to the Brasilian side of the Iguaçu Falls and their amazing bird park.  I might as well not even write anything about this place since there are no words to describe this natural phenomenon that is Iguassu Falls. You have to see it, hear it, and feel it for yourself!!! Plus, I think I'm suffering from 'bloggers block'!!!!

Next stop, we cross the border into Argentina tomorrow and experience the Falls up close and personal.

Useful Information for Travelers:

  • Iguaçu Falls The most famous attraction in the city, the falls are one of the biggest in the world. There are options to take a walking tour of the park, as well as a Macuco Safari, which features a ride through the forest and a short boat ride.
  • Parque das Aves (Bird Park) is very close to the entrance of the falls, you can take a self guided tour of the park to come in close contact with all different types of exotic birds. There may also be chances to hold and take pictures with the birds.
  • Itaipu Dam is the largest power plant in the world. There are options to take a tour, I didn't but my travel buddies did and it was a brilliant experience.
