3 more weeks in San Diego

Thursday we drove all day to make it back to San Diego. Kinda a drag to spend one day in a plane and the next in a van, but we made it! Friday we had a work day. It was Ranger Patty's day off and we didn't have much to do around the park. We painted some of the picnic tables and worked on our discovery kit. We made it a short day cause it was boring and we didn't have much to do. Friday night we went out to eat at our favorite little mexican hole in the wall. It's good food and super cheap. Then we went to the movies. Me and a few others went to go see Juno. It was a cute movie, kinda weird and some parts I didn't really like, but it was good and funny. After the movie we came back to the cabin and I learned how to play euchre. Two people playing new how and had to teach me and another playing. Kevin is from Michigan so he is the pro. Grant and I ended up beating Kevin and Mary and Kevin wasn't too happy about it since it is his home state game and all. We're supposed to have a rematch but haven't yet.

Saturday - We got up and went down to Balboa Park. We've been there before but didn't go into any of the museums last time. Me and some others went to the photography museum. It was really cool and I enjoyed it. We were museumed out after just that one so we went into the eclectic hippie part of downtown. They had some really cool resale/thrift stores that we enjoyed rummaging through and we ate lunch at a little Greek place. We then went back to the cabin and some people went grocery shopping and the rest of us stayed back and watched the tv series weeds. I think we watched a whole season. Last night we just hung out around the cabin and went to the airport to pick up our teammate Bonnie. They day she flew to Sac figured out she had scabies. She had to medicate herself until she wasn't contagious anymore. She was supposed to fly out Friday and meet us but the storms were too bad and her flight got cancelled. Yesterday she spent all day at the airport but finally made it to San Diego!

Today is a lazy day so far. Some people went to do laundry while a few stayed behind. I've written some postcards and cleaned around the cabin. This afternoon we might do something more exciting, but I'm not sure what yet. We're supposed to be coming up with ideas.

We'll hopefully find out Friday where we go next!!!
