Arrival at London Heathrow

I was very pleased to board Flight BA56 last night as the Executive Lounge at Johannesburg was getting very busy indeed; almost standing room only.  As I have said before, I do not easily sleep on flights, even ones with a flat bed on offer!  Anyway I was determined to make the most of the Club World Flight from Johannesburg to London Heathrow.  After the main dinner service I spent quite a while watching films, eating 'on-demand' snacks and of course sampling the beer.  For the sake of nostalga I stuck to Castle Beer all the way back to the UK!

We landed this morning at London Heathrow Terminal 4 at 0525hrs.  We walked to the Terminal 4 Arrivals Lounge, showed our boarding pass stubs and passed into an orderly tranquil world away from the rat race outside.  There we have stayed but soon will have to depart and go across to Terminal One to catch a BMI (Economy) flight to Belfast.  But we will leave it for a few more minutes.  What does the Arrivals Lounge have?  Well there is a quiet room to read the newspapers; a computer area to check E Mails and search the internet; an ablutions area where I was given a towel, a razor, soap, shaving foam, a toothbrush and toothpaste, and if I had been wearing my suit it could have been pressed whilst I showered; and lastly a full English breakfast.  These Arrival Lounges are far better that Departures!  I can personally vouch for the excellent breakfast.
