Another frustrating time at Frankfurt airport

07 Nov 07 - Frankfurt airport
Frankfurt airport continues to be our most frustrating place to try and navigate through. On our way over we had to change terminals and did this by monorail, this time we found we could do it by underground tunnels and using the travellators. However nothing is clearly sign posted and most of the time we were guessing where to go.
Poor Brian and Christine had to go and sort out tickets and boarding passes as there had been some mistake with what flight they were actually on and the connections it would make. We were just grateful to find the right terminal and gate. At least the guy at the gate was friendly and more importantly helpful.
We only had a two hour wait for the longest leg and we surveyed the passengers to suss out what the liklihood of screaming kids we may have near us. Our seats were in the first section of economy class and were in the middle section. Jo took the middle seat this time as she had the aisle on the way over. We were about to lose Thursday and would be fed our meals at the most extraordinary times that played havoc with digestion. However never ones to pass an opportunity for a happy hour obligingly participated in some drinks to get us through the next 12 hours.
There was of course the expected screaming infant and Karen was heard to mutter something about the need for a pillow - Jo wasn't sure if it was for her or some other inappropriate reason. The guy who sat next to Jo was a bit weird and had bought his own food along. Oh well it takes all kinds I suppose.
We did get some sleep those eye masks were a bonus.
