A much better sailing day than last. We were awoken by the Captain to get up and have a look at Istanbul as we sailed past. It was a lovely sight as it spanned across the coast.
Had a morning of washing turning our bathroom yet again into a laundry. Karen popped off to dance class but returned very soon after as they were teaching the same dance as she has done previously but with different teachers. As a good and dear friend she bought a cup of coffee back for us each to have in our room.
Went to Raffles for a buffet lunch then took in a lecture by Colonel Steven M. Bauer (because you can't miss out the M) on his experiences as a Military Social Aide to the White House during the Nixon, Ford and Carter periods. A little pretentious but the Americans lapped it up!
Of course we then partook of afternoon tea which led very nicely into our favourite time of the day - Happy Hour.
Didn't go to the late meal sitting went and had the Oriental fare served in the buffet lounge.
Mooched around most of the time chit chatting with all our friends.
