After a long long flight we finally arrived to Lime, Peru. We found our luggage very easily and a cab was already waiting to take us to our hostel. A very nice little place in a nice neighborhood (Miraflorece) in Lima. We were extremely tired and fell into bed. The next day we decided to walk around Lima a bit and look for a market of some sort. We couldn{t find a market but we got to a shopping center on the beach. And by beach I don´t mean what you are used to. Lima is cold and grey! There is no sun, and no sky, just grey! Quite depressing actually... And Besides being grey the roads here are extremely dangerous! There are no traffic lights for pedestrians, you just have to see when the cars are stoped, and the right of passage is to the cars! Worse of all- there are absolutely no traffic signs! Every time you get into a taxi you have to say "Birkat Hagomel"! Anyways, Since we couldn´t find a market we decided to play some bowling (yes, I came to Peru to play bowling...) We walked around a bit more and lost 3$ at a fancy Casino. After a long night´s sleep we woke to our second day in Lima. Today was some kind of holiday here, to celebrate the virgin Maria, so we went to downtown Lima- The older and more historic part. Our roomate, a Chillian guy, came with us, so we had our own private translator which was very helpful. We walked around in the streets and shops, and saw a special holiday parade they had. Now we´re back at the hostel, playing poker with some Irish people, and tonight we leave on an eight hour bus trip to the Huaraz with some other Israelis we met on the flight. So that´s it for Lima... definitely not my favorite city but still an intersting place to start...
