Monte Carlo

The day following the rugby, we decided to slow things down a bit and make a day trip along the coast to the little enclave of Monaco. The stinking Galaxy was firmly back in Hertz's parking lot by this stage and we made the trip this time by the considerably more relaxing mode of a french train.

The day was largely spent wandering around ogling at all the wealth including boats, castles, historic buildings etc etc. We found the rest of the riviera all quite grubby with plenty of tagging on the buildings, rubbish on the ground and dog turds everywhere (including the soles of my shoes), but not Monaco. This place was spotless and all very ordered and it made for quite a pleasant change.
