We left Myrtle today to head to a little island just south of Charleston called Edisto Island.

 

Our last night in Myrtle was crazy. We went to Broadway at the Beach. That place is ridiculously crazy. We saw a guy get knocked out from a wicked head butt. It is full of drunks and there is lots of fighting when they throw every body out of the bars  at the same time because the state requires everyone to leave the bar by 2am. This creates a stupidly large mass of people all driving, fighting, competing for taxis, and wandering around at precisely the same time. If they just stopped serving alcohol at 2 am and let people leave on their own schedule it would run a lot smoother.

 

We drove to Edisto Island passing Charleston. When we were checking in at the campground a woman came up on a beachcomber bicycle to ask directions. It was Andie MacDowell from the hit movies such as Green Card and Groundhog Day. Celebrity sighting No.1 for this trip!

 

We camped at the state park, which is right on the beach. A nice change because most campgrounds are situated on less than perfect properties (like in a swamp/marsh) NEAR but not ON the beach.

 

Edisto was really hot. It was like 100 percent humidity and 100 degrees.
