After Pai the only way we can get to the Laos border is to go back via Chiang Mai so we got back and stayed 2 nights there in a lovely hotel (which was only 8 euro per night). We didnt mind caus we loved that town. Me & Sinead went to the Chiang Mai zoo the second day! I don't really like zoo's but this one was pretty good. Next stop Chiang Rai...
