pampas, jungles and the biting insects...

Text written in: English

Finally, some green scenery...
About two weeks ago gilad and i got to Rurrenabaque, a small touristic town at the fringe of the jungle. After a coincidental meeting with Omri his... ummm... companions, we´ve had a slight change of plans and decided to go to the pampas for three days (like every single israeli i met here so far, how original). The small thing that kind of bothered me through the whole time was that it kind of felt like summer-camp for kids but finally sailing and walking through all this wildlife (not very wild actually... but life none the less) and green after a while in the andean cold sure did me some good.
After a short rest in Rurrenabaque, and some last minute changes we found ourselves in the same group going out for 5 days in the jungles... I must say that up until now i´ve heard mostly bad things about the jungles around here, i was told they were boring, touristic and artificial... All i can say for my self is that i´ve had a great time and i´m sorry i didn´t take a longer trip. As for the activities... all i can say is ¨i caught a fish with an arrow and bow, now how cool is that?¨ And since we were such good boys, mother nature decided to award us with an extra activity i like to call ¨running like hell to the river from the falling trees before being crushed to death like an ant¨... I can´t say i wasn´t scared shitless but a storm in the middle of the jungle is an amazing thing to experience.
As for the pictures, the ones with the crocodiles, the snakes and the small fish (piranhas by the way) are from the pampas. The ones with the crushed trees, the big fish and the stupid make up are from the jungle... have fun!
