Back to Vanouver

Headed back to Vancouver for a few days to catch some more of the sights before heading off to the US.  It rained like hell for 2 our of the 3 days .. and I mean it poured down.. so I didn't venture too far out .. went to see a flick and had lunch in a nearby cafe, and spent the rest of the time doing my washing and reading.

Went out for a few beers with a bunch of folk from the hostel on my second night.. great laugh and ended up meeting a load of Irish, in an Irish pub no less down the road!  The pub turned into a nightclub that pumped out the biggest collection of 90's music i've heard in a long while.   Surprising how much you want to  reminiss after a few pints!

On my last day I made up for things, as the weather gave me a break for a couple of hours.  I had lunch with a distant relative (my gran's cousin) Barbara Buckley.  Great woman, highly entertaining for a 95 year old.. she has also travelled the world alone and gave me great insight and advice.  I then went to check out the infamous Stanley Park which was stunning and gave me a chance to clear my head with a refreshing walk.  I then headed to the main shopping & restaurant area (Robson St) and had a browse round for a couple of hours before going back to the hostel.  Glad that I got to see some of the things I had planned on before I left!

Just going to get an early night tonight before heading to Seattle tomorrow.. to stay with my dad's friends.. The Bolts!
