Just out from the 12 people big group, I immediately joined another small group. I met three other travellers from Finland and Germany in my hostel and hired a car together to Sossusvlei in the Namib Naukluft Park, which is a picture logo of the country.
In odder to see the sunrise in the sand dunes, we stayed in the expensive park campsite in Sesriem. We arrived late and didn't check any information about the sunrise, just used our imagination. We thought we can wake up early then drive to Sossusvlei for sunrise, so we woke at about three but then we found out the park gate was opened at half pass five...... funny!
The sunrise was great but somehow we got there a bit late even though we woke too early!! :( We missed the magic moment. But it was still great to see the colour change in the dunes. We then walked around the dunes and took some pictures in the Dead Vlei, it was a good place for photographers. In the late afternoon we left the park area to find other cheap campsite for camping, save some money. We are budget traveller...
