Ruined City

Text written in: English

Palmyra is beautiful but not the city itself. It is a Roman site next to the city centre. The city (actually it is just a town) is a bit touristy, their economy is mainly depends on the tourism. It is right in the centre of the desert, hot and dry. The sunset at the castle up on the hill is another must-see.

I met several nice people here, and we did a real adventure at night. We climbed the wall into a ruin at midnight with beers, in this Ramadan Period. :(  The ruin was all ours. We climb up to the top of the ancient Roman building (little bit danger to do that), took pictures, enjoyed beers..., really fun and exciting. However, it was not a good thing to do though, so don't tell anyone. (^_~)
