Took a train to Puno from Cusco. Interestingly, while you wait they show a video of various train crashes on that line. Since then I think the Peruvian government sold it to the Orient Express so we took a first class seat on the 12 hour journey. Pretty cool actually. Waiters march down the carriage and serve everybody at the same time (same second), they then all turn at the same time and walk out again.
Not sure what they thought of me and Ruth but we had spent the previous night drinking in Cusco and as the train left at 7am we weren´t on the best of forms, probably looked a bit scruffy too. Pisco Sours in the Bar carriage at 10AM got the day off to a good start anyway. Some crazy dancers and a fashion show by the train staff - not what you would expect from a train journey!
Not too much in Puno Except a lot of rain, a Snoopy restaurant and some nice Peruvian Chicken (Mmmm).
